Candle Supply Haul!!

Hey there guys!
Oh My Gosh, I am super excited for today's post! As you've read from the title, today's post is a candle supply haul.  No, not a candle haul.. A candle 'supply' haul, because I am going to make my own candles.. That's right, I'm becoming crafty! High Five!
Now I am super sorry that this post is late, I have been having issues with the internet all week and yesterday was the worst.  Although I don't have a following yet I am really unhappy that I am not posting on the correct days that I set out to, so from next week I am on a mission to be less slack and upload on the correct days, those being Monday and Thursday.  I also really want to say thank you to anyone who has a read of my posts, I've just hit over 2000 views and I couldn't be happier! Now that that's settled lets get onto the haul!!

I purchased all my products from Aussie Candle supplies online which is a Cruelty Free, Australian company based in Perth and I have nothing bad to say about my experience.  Their prices are great as far as I am concerned, however I have never purchased these supplies before.  The packaging is wonderful.  Everything breakable that I received was nicely wrapped in brown paper and packed on or around the wax.
The supplies arrived only three business days after I ordered them and I'm so excited to start creating candles.
Now for the products, I bought a 1kg bag of Golden Wax 464 which was said to be the preferred wax and easiest to use.  This wax is apparently suitable for container candles, tealights and clam shell melts.  As I am making container candles I figured it would be perfect.  I only purchased 1kg because I wasn't sure how much that was going to be and at $7.40AUD for a 1kg bag I figured I would purchase that to begin with and see how many it makes.  I also purchased a 20pack of 15cm ACS 3.0 wicks which cost me a grand total of $2.60AUD, Bargain!!
As for the Dye Blocks, I bought four; in the colours, black, peach, teal and pink.  Once again, I have no idea yet how much of each block I will need to colour a candle or if one block will do more than one candle but that's what trial and error are for right? Or YouTube? The packet says to shave till desired colour is reached so I guess that's going to be my first attempt!  I bought these for a mere $1.50AUD each which to me is freakin' cheap and I can't wait to purchase more!!

Now onto scents, I kinda maybe splurged a little and bought a whole bunch but why not right?  I bought only out of the fragrance section for these but I can't wait to purchase some of the oils!  The most expensive scent I purchased cost me $2.40AUD for a 10ml bottle which to me is a pretty reasonable price.  Out of 207 scents I somehow managed to only buy 15. How, you ask? I have no flipping idea but I can't wait to purchase more.  I don't want to go into too much detail otherwise I'll be here all night but I will tell you which ones I bought and which I'm most excited to use.

So the fifteen that I purchased were; Angel wings, Bulgarian Rose, Cocoa Therapy, Frangipani, Winter Nights, Exotic Woods, Forbidden Fantasy, Ceder Forest, Autumn Harvest, Coconut, Gingerbread, Chocolate Milk, Candy Cane, By the Fire and Vera Wang Type.

My favourite few scents so far are, Bulgarian Rose, Angel Wings, Chocolate Milk and Vera Wang Type but that might change once they've been put into a candle.  Frangipani reminds me a lot of hand creams, probably because I have a Frangipani scented hand cream somewhere that I haven't used for god knows how long.  Autumn Harvest smells so much of cinnamon I could eat it (but I won't).  Honestly though, at this moment some of them just smell so sickeningly sweet that I can't wait to put them in a candle just to get a more diluted smell from them.  I also love Candy Cane and Gingerbread! Yes, I'm ready for Christmas already.. Don't judge me!  In all honestly I'm just super excited to try this out! Don't worry I'll be posting a 'tutorial'/review on how I went and let you all know my thoughts!!

I hope you are all just as excited as I am for this upcoming project of mine! Let me know if any of you have made candles before and any recommendations you might have for me! I would highly recommend buying from Aussie Candle Supplies as they, in my opinion are extremely affordable and super lovely!  Thank you all so much once again for tuning in and I'll see you all Monday!

Until Next Time

'What's For Dinner?' - Lentil Burgers with Root Veggie Fries

Hello Everybody!

Today is the beginning of my new segment 'What's for Dinner?' where I will be choosing a vegetarian meal/dessert, cooking it then reviewing it for all of you lovely people!  I'll be going through things such as availability of ingredients, cost, time and level of difficulty. I really hope you enjoy these posts! I'll be aiming to post them monthly, if there are any meals that you would like me to try and review for you let me know in the comments.  However for the first few I will just take them out of the many cook books we own.  Also just remember if you want to recommend any make sure they are vegetarian!

So lets jump straight into it.  Tonight I will be reviewing White Bean and Red Lentil Burgers with a side dish of Root Veggie Fries that I cooked up last Friday out of the wonderful Thug Kitchen Cook Book.  Firstly for this you will obviously need the following list of ingredients. Wonderfully though, for most vegetarians the majority of these ingredients will already be stocked in your cupboard.

For the Burgers:
Half cup red lentils
Two thirds cup water
Three cups cooked white beans
Half red onion, chopped
Three cloves garlic, minced
One Jalapeno, minces
Half cup bread crumbs
One and a teaspoon smoked paprika
One and a half teaspoon mixed herbs
One teaspoon ground cumin
One tablespoon olive oil
Half teaspoon salt
Grated Zest of half a lemon
Cooking spray
Burger fillings; buns, tomato, lettuce etc.

For the Fries:
Five tablespoons white flour
Half a teaspoon garlic powder
Half a teaspoon chili powder
Pinch of salt
One tablespoon lemon juice
One teaspoon soy sauce or tamari
Two tablespoons olive oil
Two pounds root vegetable, peeled and cut into small chip sizes

Now, for the average vegetarian, as I said most of these spices, beans and oils will already be on hand.  For me, the only ingredients I had to go out and buy were the white beans, red onion, garlic powder, chili powders, and lemon juice.  However I did not add the Jalapeno or lime zest so honestly I probably paid a total of $20AUD for the lot. However if you had none of the ingredients and had to buy the lot, I would estimate that it would be no more than $100AUD, so not extremely cheap however once you have the spices and sauces you won't have to buy them again for a while.
Now for the method; both the patties and the fries are very simple with only a few steps for each.  Start by cranking your oven to 200 degrees Celsius (425 degrees Fahrenheit).
For the Patties basically all you have to do is cook the lentils in the water for approximately 10mins, drain the water and let cool.  Mash the white beans in a large bowl, add the lentils and the rest of the ingredients (not the fillings or cooking spray). Shape into patties, place on a lined baking tray and place in the fridge for minimum 30mins while you prep the fries.
For the Fries, mix together the flour, spices, and salt in a small bowl.  Toss together the lemon juice, soy sauce and olive oil in a large bowl and add the veggies.  Sprinkle the spice mixture over the roots and mix until everything is coated.  Spread the roots over a lined baking tray and place in the oven.  Lightly coat each of the patties with some cooking spray and place them in the oven with the fries and bake for about 30 mins turning halfway through.  When they are all golden and cooked, serve the burgers up with your fave burger filling and dipping sauce for the fries.  I wasn't very adventurous and just used barbecue sauce.

To be honest this is a fairly quick meal to make, the only time consuming part is letting the patties sit, so I would definitely recommend preparing the patties first, maybe earlier before you want to start cooking dinner so all you have to do is prepare the fries.  The baking time is basically 30 minutes, maybe a little longer for the fries depending on how big you have cut them.  When I took mine out of the oven after cooking for 30 minutes they were just on the borderline of cooked so I didn't mind but they could have cooked for a further 10mins.  I am not one for spicy food so this was never really going to be a favourite for me but I am so glad I tried it because it is very nice.  There are so many spice flavours that work so well together but for me it was a bit too much, the chili powder in the coating on the fries was a little too hot for me and I found myself constantly reaching for my glass of milk so you could definitely say I was glad I didn't add the jalapenos.  However if you love spicy foods or experimenting with recipes this may be a new favourite or you may add it to your list of 'need to try meals'.  All in all I would definitely cook it again but I would tweak the recipe so that it isn't so spicy and I would probably add something more to the patties such as capsicum or carrot just for something different.  I would say that even beginners to cooking could even pull this off, I'm definitely not a professional but I have been cooking meals for a while and meals from a cookbook are one of my faves to try, especially if they look nice.

I think I have covered everything, if you have any questions feel free to comment below, if you have any meals you want me to review, let me know in the comments.  I really hope you enjoyed this sort of post because I loved posting it and can't wait to post more in the future.  Let me know if you have the same cook book and your opinions on it! Thanks again guys.

Makeup Haul!!

Hey guys,
So today's post, as the title suggests is going to be a Makeup Haul!! Over the last two weeks or so I have purchased a few products and received a few previously purchased products in the mail! So today I thought I would show you what I bought and tell you what I thought about some that I have already tried out!! Needless to say this post will definitely be a bit smaller than the previous few (probably a good thing)!

So lets begin.  Last week whilst at target and Kmart I thought I would have a little look around in the makeup section and I was not disappointed.  I'd heard a lot of good things about NYX and a few good things about ELF so I thought I would check them out myself!! Firstly, from NYX I purchased two roll on shimmers in the shades mauve pink and platinum, a jumbo eye pencil in the shade 608 cottage cheese, a lipstick in the shade summer love and the shine killer primer.  Now I am absolutely in love with the shimmers and the primer, I was told that the primer was a dupe for the Smashbox primer and now I definitely believe that! It leaves my face looking matte and flawless for so long and I honestly don't know what I would do without it.  As for the shimmers, I have mostly been using them on my eyes.  In the photo below I have a real nude brown eye with the platinum shimmer on the inner corner and its just a beautiful look (let me know if you want a tutorial for that look)!  The jumbo eye pencil is one of my new favourites for cosplay as it really opens my eyes up and gives a real large eye effect! A winner in my books.  I haven't yet used the lipstick but I am definitely looking forward to it, it's such a beautiful colour and looks so smooth!

Now for the ELF products.  I haven't heard a lot about ELF but have heard that its definitely good for a drug store product so I had to find out and again I wasn't entirely disappointed with the products I have tried so far.  I purchased the eyebrow kit in the shade ash, a blush in the shade peachy keen, a golden bronzer and an eyeshadow primer.  Now out of these four products I have only tried two; the primer and the bronzer.  I absolutely loved the bronzer as a really soft bronzed look, although if I was going for a strong bronzed look I don't feel as though it would build up to much so it's definitely best used on days that I want a real subtle makeup look and as for the eyeshadow primer I can't really compare it to anything as I haven't used one before however I would like to compare it to not using a primer one day, so half and half on my face and see if it really makes a difference (I'll get back to you).  I can't wait to try out the eyebrow kit and the blush as the blush colour isn't the usual colour I go for and honestly I haven't used anything but eyeshadow on my brows before.

Lastly we have my products that I bought from Gerard Cosmetics which I am absolutely loving.  I purchased two star powders in the shades Marilyn (I know I already have one, long story) and Audrey, and a Hydra Matte liquid lipstick in the shade Iced Mocha.  I cannot get enough of the lip colour, it's my new favourite and even smells like Iced Mocha.  I love the real nude shade and was definitely going for that when I bought it!  I would wear it everyday if I could, although it isn't a very long wearing lipstick and I would definitely recommend keeping it on you so you could touch up your lip colour.  As for the star powders I cannot talk highly enough about these two! They are beautiful and I'm so glad I have so many. haha

Anyway guys, I better leave it there or I might not stop. Let me know in the comments if you have any of the above products and what you think about them? If you want to know how I created the look above just let me know in the comments (in all honestly I will probably blog about it anyway).  Thank you again for tuning in and I will see you next time! Have a wonderful week!!

My Weight Loss Story/Workout Routine

Hey there guys,
Now all week I've really been debating whether or not I actually wanted to post this as it's a really sensitive topic for me and I don't know whether I wanted to share it.  Basically I have come to the conclusion that even if I could just help one girl who is in the same type of position that I was once in it will be worth it!  This post will probably be one of the most raw and personal posts I will ever share on this blog so go easy on me.

Today I'm going to share with you My Weight Loss Story, although it's not completed and is still an ongoing process, I want this post to hopefully help anyone that is suffering from insecurities or anyone looking to lose weight but isn't sure where to start.
I'm sorry if this isn't the sort of thing you want to see on my blog but to be completely honest, to understand one side of me I want you to understand all sides..

So lets get started.  From a young age I have always been a little larger, not necessarily overweight but just heavier.  Growing up I had a great life, don't get me wrong I had - and still have - a loving family who support me in everything I strive for and encourage me to aim for great heights.  They have always been there for me, they are my rock.  Through primary school I never saw a problem with my weight, I was a kid, it was never on my mind and to be honest no one cares when you are that young. However moving into high school saw a different stage in my life.  Trying to fit in at school was one of the hardest things I strived for as an adolescent.  Whilst trying to fit in I ended up in the 'Popular' group (you know how there are always groups), and although that sounds great it was actually awful!  I then started trying to compare myself with everyone I was surrounded by and as you could imagine there weren't many my size at all, in fact I was the 'big girl' in the group.  Now just try for a second to imagine what it would be like as a 14/15yr old being described as the 'big girl'.. Not the 'nice girl' or the 'smart girl' but I was always defined by my size.. Until about year eleven it never really phased me, I knew I was bigger and I always blamed it on my bone size (in all honesty, I do have large bones).  However I was putting on a significant amount of weight and by the end of year eleven I was the largest I have ever been at a size 18.  It really hit me one day when whilst playing a game of softball with my HPE class one of the boys made a comment to the guy I just so happened to have a crush on about my weight and it was heart breaking when he laughed back.
Beginning 2015
I guess it was around that time that I started to get more and more insecure.  It got to the stage where when I had my horse riding accident and the paramedic had to cut my shirt off I cried for mum not to let them.  I was so disgusted with what I saw in the mirror.. I decided that things had to change, that I could be beautiful, that I could be happy with my body so that's when I started my first weight loss program.  In the beginning of 2012, my last year of school I made some weight goals, I wanted to lose 20kg - 3 dress sizes - buy the time formal rolled around.  I did everything I could think of to achieve those goals, for a full 12 months or so, all I drank was water and juice, majority of what I ate was salads and vegetables, no junk food or bad drinks.  I exercised every night without fail, I swam in an ice cold pool in the middle of winter and buy the end of it all I had lost the 20kg, I made it to a size 12 dress size and although that one night was wonderful it didn't satisfy me.  It made me angry that I had worked my ass off and didn't get recognition from the one person I felt like I needed it from, it was awful.  I realised that I couldn't lose weight and change for anyone but myself, it was a long process but I finally realised.  So from then on I did what made me happy.  I went back to eating what I wanted, to exercising when I wanted. Although I gained some weight back I felt a kind of relief that I didn't have to change for anyone even though I wasn't completely happy.

Toward the end of 2015

Through 2013 I exercised on and off, partly jealous of my former self, the fact that I had lost so much weight and that now I couldn't get back into rhythm with my exercising efforts.  I couldn't find motivation.  I became quite upset again until the beginning of 2014 when I finally picked up my good exercise habits again but this time I wasn't restricting my eating habits, I wasn't eating bad but I certainly wasn't an angel when it came to food.  I was lucky enough in that year to find my partner who has been by my side ever since.  He has never given up on me when I have my bad days.  2014 was a hard year, starting my first relationship left me feeling extremely jealous, I wasn't happy within myself and never thought I was worthy.  It was hard for me to realise that someone would actually want to be with me and could actually find me attractive.  I was in a constant state of panic that he would want to leave me, but he was an absolute angel and never once gave me any reason to think he would.  He was and still is beyond perfect and I can never thank him enough for that.  I honestly do have bad days still. At the end of last year, I was having more bad days than good, everything was becoming too hard again, I couldn't find rhythm with my exercises and my eating habits had gone off the rails again so before christmas I made a conscious decision to fix my problems, to stop dwelling and do something about it.

That brings us to January 2016, 'The Beginning of My Next Phase' I like to call it.  I have learnt a lot in my short amount of time, a lot to do with my weight and myself.  I have realised that I will never be 'thin' and I'm okay with that.  I have realised that it will take real effort and I can't just lie to myself and say I'm doing the right thing! I have to control myself and encourage myself and believe that I can do it, I'm not failing if I have a set back! It's all part of my journey and I still have so far to go but I have already started and that's all that matters!  As for my workout routine, I started 2016 off with a bang partaking in the 30 day butt lift blogilates challenge and the 30 day waist trainer blogilates challenge, along with Yoga a few days a week.  In February I will be adding the 30 day arm challenge to my list along with another blogilates challenge.  I am also measuring myself and taking photos every Monday, I like to write a little something in my journal just so I can go back and see how I'm doing too.  As for food, I am eating healthier, however I haven't restricted my diet too far. I'm still eating - for the most part - how I normally would but cutting out unnecessary items such as chips or unhealthy snacks!

Right now I'm feeling great about this next phase, I can already feel the differences it's making and that makes me want to excel more! I honestly do love the effects this sort of lifestyle has and although I'm still having bad days they seem to be few and far between and that is an achievement in itself.

I'm so sorry for rambling, this post wasn't meant to be this long so thank you if you are still reading!  Please if any of you are having any sort of problem and can relate and need someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to message me on my facebook or instagram! I would love to be able to help anyone who is doing it tough or struggling to find someone to talk to!  Just a heads up, once a month I'm going to be doing a segment on my blog called 'What's for Dinner' where I will cook and review a vegetarian (because my partner is vegetarian) meal and dessert and review it for you! I'm super excited to start this so I hope you enjoy it! Anyways guys, thanks for reading, leave a comment if you wish! Please be kind...

Two eBay Purchased Wig Reviews!

Hello Everybody!
Today I have a wonderful review for you that I'm so excited to be posting.  Hopefully it won't be as long as my last few posts.  I'll try and keep it small haha.  Anyway, I bought these two wigs about three or four months ago from an online eBay store that a friend had recommended to me for the sole purpose of learning how to cut and style wigs.  When I first received them I wasn't very happy with them, not because they weren't good quality but because they didn't look nice on me (which was kind of what I wanted so I would have to change them).  Now because I am a beginner it took me a long time to muster up the courage to do anything with these wigs and so they sat in my room looking ugly for a few months until after christmas I decided it had been too long since I had worn a wig and thought I would try on my purple wig again.

I'm so glad I didn't leave these two just sitting in the room and finally decided to do something with them.  The purple wig, although you can't see in the picture is not fully purple, it has a mix of a lilac colour and a light grey colour mixed together and I think that's why I love it so much.  I didn't have to do much with this wig to make it look the way it does above.  Literally all I have done is straighten the wig, part it where I like to part my hair and viola. However I would like to cut the fringe a little bit just to lift it up my face a little more so it doesn't continue to fall in my eyes.  As for price, this wig was on sale for $27.48AUD which too be honest I wasn't happy with initially however now that I love the wig I really don't mind at all! As for shipping, I believe it arrived maybe two to three weeks after purchase which I was stoked about.  The wig itself was really easy to straighten and style although the styling wasn't too extreme!  I would highly recommend this wig to anyone looking to further their skills with styling or cutting and if you can think of any cosplay I could use this wig for I'd love to hear suggestions!!

Now lets chat about this gorgeous brown wig! I bought this at the same time as the purple wig I just spoke about so the shipping time was obviously the same, however I put a little more effort into this wig when I was styling it.  when I purchased this wig it was initially a Hiyori cosplay wig so essentially it had a front fringe with very prominent bangs.  This did not suit me at all so with some cutting and styling I slowly evened the bangs out and framed them around my face whilst also cutting the front fringe into a side fringe.  I changed it into a side fringe purely because it was too long for me to wear it as a front fringe and I'm not confident enough yet to cut a front fringe, especially on a wig that I love! I also fully straightened this wig as it had really curled in ends that did nothing for my face shape so I thought it be best to see how straightening looked and I think it's safe to say it's going to stay that way. Now as for price, this wig was for sale for $34.35AUD which although is a bit more expensive than the purple, really isn't that much to pay for a good quality wig that I can play around with.  I would also highly recommend this wig to anyone looking to further their experience although this one took a little more time and effort.  I would also love to hear of any cosplay ideas you might have that I could use for for this wig??

Anyway guys, I think I might leave it there! I hope you are all having a great day and are still enjoying my blogs as much as I love writing them! I'm sorry again for being late but I wasn't feeling well last night so I thought I would go to bed early and see how I felt this morning! Don't forget to leave a comment if you swing by, I would love to say Hi!

My Top 5 YouTubers!!

Hello there my lovelies.
So today I am going to let you in on a little secret... I'm a YouTube whore! I love watching YouTube in my spare time, some may think it's a waste of time but for me its amazing, I have learnt so many new things through YouTube and I have found some pretty amazing people who I love to watch (Sounds creepy, I know).  So today I'm going to tell you about my top 5 YouTubers and I can't wait!

Firstly in no particular order the five top are, Zoella, Alexandra, RachhLoves, Gabriella and Danielle!

As you can tell most of these lovely ladies have makeup related channels and yes that's one reason I enjoy watching them but apart from that I also love each of their personalities for different reasons.  Lets start with Zoe. Firstly; she's english, secondly she has one of the most positive vibes on camera but also can make you realise that not everyday is picture perfect! She is quite beautiful with an equally beautiful personality and her love for candles resembles my own!  I'm not going to lie, December was my favourite month last year purely because of 24 days of Zoella and her vlogmas!  Zoe has been a big inspiration for me while deciding what I wanted to do with my blog and slightly with life in general.  When I think of Zoe, I see a little bit of myself in her and I think that's what keeps drawing me back!

Along with Zoe's vlogmas last year I also religiously tuned into Alex' for the entire 24 days and although some days I was late I managed to fit them all in!  Alex, for me has been a huge inspiration both with my weight and my makeup and anyone looking for someone who exudes body positivity, Alex is your girl!  I have taken a lot of advice from Alex' videos whether it be how to apply my makeup or how to pick myself up after a hard day, I can always count on Alex to post an uplifting but true video.  She is such a gorgeous soul and a true sweetheart and I hope she knows it too!

Now as for Danielle, I started watching her videos around mid last year and I did so purely because she was an Australian makeup goddess, she is so gorgeous but has had a tough time and that's something that I really admire in someone, when they can admit when they've honestly had it tough! Dani is someone I like to watch when I'm having a lazy day with makeup and I'll experiment certain looks she may have done a tutorial on but she never fails to have a bright smile while filming but once again she is true to herself and can admit if she's had a bad day! I also love watching her videos because we are always in the same season so it always helps that she is doing summer looks while I'm in summer and so on.

As for Gabrielle and RachhLoves, I've have only recently started watching these two girls and I am very quickly starting to love both of their channels, as you can see I have put them in my top 5 and that's because they both have such unique personalities, I feel as though Gabby has a very homely feel to her videos, she's always very what you see is what you get type thing and I absolutely love that!  Whereas RachhLoves has a very upbeat cheery sort of personality, and is forever making me laugh with little things in her videos! She is very quickly becoming one of my favourites and I will definitely be watching her for tonnes of makeup advice!

I would not hesitate to recommend any of these girls to anyone looking for girly/makeup/upbeat/honest videos! They all make me happy when I watch them and I will continue to watch them hopefully all throughout this year and for some more years to come.  If you have enjoyed this post let me know in the comments, let me know if you like these YouTubers too or who your faves are!!

2015 Favourites, Cosplay and Makeup Edition!

Hey guys,
Tonight's post has got me really super excited as I finally get to share with you my all time favourite makeup products of 2015 and my top favourite items that I bought for cosplay during 2015!  Now stay tuned on my blog as I have decided that every month I will share with you my favourites, from makeup to cosplay even movies and foods! I can't wait!

Alrighty, so lets start with cosplay!  Last year I discovered cosplay and I feel like it was one of the greatest things I have ever done! It's given me a way to express myself like none other, it's given me the chance to make friendships I otherwise wouldn't have made and I wouldn't stop it now for the world!  Today I've got for you two wigs, one pair of contacts and a full experience.  I'll start with the experience; now I wouldn't say my Black Widow bodysuit was a favourite as it had so many complications and let downs, however wearing it to Brisbane Supanova was definitely one of my favourite experiences of 2015! Having people ask for photos and complimenting the outfit - although I didn't make it - it made me feel amazing!  Now as for the contacts, I have purchased quite a few pairs of contacts in the last six months and I can say without a doubt this green pair are my favourite!  I have written a review on them here, and you're more than welcome to go check that out, in fact I encourage you to!  I have found that I struggle to find contacts that really stand out on my brown eyes, but these were incredibly vibrant and had everyone complimenting my eyes wherever I went.

The two wigs that I have for you today are my Chibi wig from Arda which I have also written a review on, you can find that one here, once again I urge you to check that one out!  This wig is stunning. It was priced fairly well for the quality, I would definitely recommend Arda to anyone looking to buy a good quality wig, I'll definitely be buying more in the future!  In all honesty, I loved just wearing this wig around the house, its so easy to put on, it is a little heavy and because I'm not used to wearing wigs it did hurt my neck a little if I wore it for too long but I just adore the look of it and can't wait to cosplay my Harley this year!  As for my purple wig, I picked this one up really cheap on eBay after my friend referred me to this site for cheap wigs that I could use to learn to cut and style! However after straightening the wig I didn't want to go any further, I loved everything about it, the length, the colour, the way it framed my face! It's just the perfect wig if you want something different. Now I just have to find a cosplay I can use it for!

Next lets talk about my favourite makeup and body products, I'll start with my body products, all of which are purchased from body shop, including a candle which isn't really body related but its definitely a favourite!  Just before christmas I made a trip down to Brisbane to watch the new Star Wars movie in gold class and while I was there I thought I would pop into body shop and see what they had available and they did not disappoint.  They had a range of - I want to say new - scents, however I wouldn't know but they were in a different section to the rest and from those I chose the frosted Plum scent and bought all that I could from that range.  In total I walked out of the shop with a candle, a body butter, a body scrub, a shower gel and a shimmer lotion.  They have been by far my favourite purchase from body shop last year!

Moving onto makeup, I'll try and make this short so I'll start with my high end makeup and then move onto my drug store.  Firstly I want to talk to you about my Gerard Cosmetics Highlighter in the shade Marilyn; it is my holy grail, absolutely fantastic and so so gorgeous!  Next is the Smashbox Primer, although extremely expensive it's so worth it for those good occasions and I'll definitely be utilising it!  Also whilst in Brisbane I was lucky enough to stop into the Mecca Maxima store and the Mac store and I purchased a Mac lipstick in the shade Diva and an Urban Decay Setting Spray, once again the setting spray will be used on good occasion but certainly does its job incredibly well and for the lipstick, well I am in love! It's such a gorgeous shade and I love wearing it with a real natural eye look.
Moving onto the drugstore products we have my all time favourite mascara, the Lash Sensational Mascara by Maybelline! When I first used this I didn't like it, it was extremely clumpy and I couldn't get it to look nice however after a lot of practise and usage I finally have perfected using it and am absolutely in love! definitely my go to mascara.  Next is my Fit Me Concealer in the shade fair.  It's so incredibly perfect for use in the under eye areas and blends out super nicely! My favourite concealer by far!  Midway though September I bought a few eyeshadow palette from BH Cosmetics and the Galaxy Palette has been an incredible favourite of mine ever since, I've written a review of it here, definitely go check that out.  In all honesty its probably my best palette, it has amazing colour payoff and has a wide variety of colours! I love creating different looks with it!

Sometime last year my friend recommended to me the Stay Matte Foundation by Rimmel and I absolutely adore it, it blends out so nicely, has absolutely amazing coverage and by the end of the days holds up a lot better than any other foundation I own.  Definitely a fave in my books!  Lastly for the makeup I have a brush that I have been loving for quite a while now and that's the Domed Bronzer Brush from the ecotools set.  I actually found this through a YouTuber that I watch and she highly recommend it for buffing in liquid foundation and that exactly what I use it for.  Its so so perfect and works incredibly well to blend and buff the foundation evenly over my face and its my only 'tool' I will use to apply my foundation!

Alright my lovelies, thank you so much to everyone who reached the end of this post! Sorry it was so long, but I really wanted to tell you about all of the above! They are all perfect products and in my opinion are worth the buy! Stay tuned next week for my top 5 YouTubers! Hands up if you binge watch YouTube videos (it's my favourite past time, my guilty pleasure you could say).  I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments you favourite products of 2015, I'd love to read them!

2015 Favourites/Highlights

Hello there lovelies,
Boy do I have a lot in store for you today; as the title reads today I am going to be sharing with you, all of my 2015 Favourites from my highlights to Movies and even my fave TV shows (it was hard to pick a few)! Are you ready for this? I just want to thank you in advance if you stay til the end. haha Keep a look out because Thursdays Blog will include my Makeup and Cosplay favourites!

So lets start with Music two of my favourite albums of this year have been 25 by Adele and Made in the A.M. by One Direction!  Fun Fact: 14yr old Brittanie was a massive One Direction fan. I had all the posters, all the music, even the books and yes, I even had a twitter account purely to see their tweets (I don't regret that account at all, I met one of my best friends on that account! shout out to Stacey!!) .  Any way back to the music, these two albums are so perfect in such different ways, I just adore Adele's voice, she is a god! As for One Direction I will admit I still love their music, especially their latest album, it's so different from their old music, so I want to say perfect!

Next lets talk TV and Movies.  Brace yourselves, I have narrowed my TV favourites to only five... So here they are:  Jessica Jones, Gotham, Grimm, Blacklist and True Detective season one..

Jessica Jones was one of the best seasons I watched this year, it was dark and thrilling and the villain was absolutely spectacular! David Tennant was a phenomenal actor choice for Kilgrave! Definitely recommend this show to anyone looking for a thrilling/intense show to watch! Gotham, as I have stated in one of my previous blog posts is definitely one of my all time favourites, but this year I just feel they went above and beyond with the show making it probably number one on my list!  We rediscovered Grimm this year and powered through all the seasons until we hit the latest and I can honestly say it just keeps getting better and better! As for the Blacklist, well who can't love a show with James Spader in it? Seriously he is such a brilliant actor and every week I find myself waiting for the next show to come out! Lastly we have True Detective the first season, now I know I'm late to the party for this one but again I have found myself watching older shows this year when the few I'm currently watching go on break and this was one of them!  Now the first season was beyond amazing! It was intriguing, dark and gripping!  Each episode took a turn I didn't see coming.  I honestly recommended this show to everyone I spoke to (Literally Everyone!).

As for movies, the three that really stood out this year for me were Antman, Star Wars The Force Awakens and Age of Ultron!  Now can you see a pattern? I'm becoming more and more of a nerd the further my relationship progresses.  Star Wars was so exciting for me as we had binge watched the previous six the week before and had travelled to Brisbane just to watch it in Gold Class; trust me, Gold Class is amazing and so worth the money!  As for the movie it was so well made and My partner and I were talking about it weeks after! Antman and Age of Ultron were both great movies and I would definitely watch them again in an instant! 10/10

Highlights for me during 2015 started with attending a One Direction concert in February and ended with Supanova in November!  My inner fan girl had the time of her life at the One Direction concert, I finally got to see them in person and it could not have made me happier.  Part way through the year my partner and I moved house into a gorgeous four bedroom home and I am absolutely in love with it!  It has so much room for everything especially my own cosplay/makeup room!  Speaking of Cosplay, Supanova was one of the best weekends of 2015 seeing me and my partner debut out first ever cosplays and I can't wait for 2016 where we can make and wear more (or I can anyway).  It was such an amazing experience and the people I met and photographed there were just great! Will definitely be going back for 2016!

Anyways guys, I decided to split this into two blog posts so I don't overload you with too many of my favourite things, so on Thursday as I have mentioned, expect my cosplay and makeup favourites! I can't wait to share them with you!

Until Next Time

My Cosplay Plans for 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR
As I'm writing this its just ticked over into the new year. Yes, again I'm late! Sorry... However, I really hope you all had a fantastic end to 2015 and are as excited as I am for the possibilities 2016 brings!
Anywho, I'm super excited to share my cosplay plans with you for 2016 as I have so many that I want to finish and too many that I want to start I don't know which one to tell you about first.

Lets start with the cosplays that I have kind of started, and by kind of, I really mean the few that I have wigs and contacts for.  So my first three that I really want to complete this year are Raven from Teen Titans which I am hopefully going to be paring with Tanzoir's StarFire in the future sometime, Harley Quinn from the Arkham Knight game and She Hulk from the Marvel Comics Universe.  At the moment I'm in the process of cutting, styling and adding wefts to my she hulk wig! Exciting! I am slightly worried about jumping into sewing lycra for the two bodysuits I have to make for She Hulk and Raven however I am super excited to make Raven's cape! Harley is a cosplay that I am really going to take my time on and perfect before I actually wear it to a convention so I figure I have all year to work on her which is a nice pace I feel and I'm super excited to have a fairly complicated task at hand.

Next we have the few that I just really want to just into in 2016 and those are Merida from Brave! I found the most amazing wig on arda and absolutely fell in love with her character while watching the movie so figured I had to cosplay her! I cannot wait to buy the patterns and attempt to make her green 'hunting' dress and the bow! Such a challenge!! Secondly I really want to cosplay a genderbend two face! I honestly think that will be the most fun out of the whole lot, I cannot wait to play around with the liquid latex and the different colours to make the burnt skin and burnt suit!  Next on my list if I have the money and time is Snow White! I love the look that snow white has and if I have a chance I also want to cosplay a version of snow white from Once Upon A Time! And last but not least on my list is Peggy Carter from the Agent Carter TV show! I really loved that show and put her on my list as soon as I saw it so hopefully I can complete her by the end of 2016!

So there you have it my seven cosplays I have planned for 2016, hopefully if I can get them finished early I might even add on a few more throughout the year! But I'm just super excited to have those few to keep me busy!
Anyway guys, I hope you enjoyed this post and are just as excited as I am for 2016 and I will see you again in a few days!! Thankyou all again so much for reading my little blog, I appreciate it so much!

Until Next Time
